About the Role

At National Star we are driven by our vision for a world in which people with disabilities are able to realise their potential as equal and active citizens. We continue to develop and diversify what we offer the community, and as such we continue to experience an increase in recruitment.

This role will work across the organisation with a number of line managers, discussing their staffing requirements and assessing the best recruitment strategy. Due to the diversity of what National Star offers, there will be a wide variety of roles which will have differing advertising needs. Negotiation skills are essential, as the post holder will need to compare Value for Money propositions across several suppliers.

Due to the volume of recruitment, candidate experience is a top priority and the HR Recruitment and Resourcing Advisor will need to communicate promptly with candidates by phone, email, and in person. The post holder will attend local Job Fairs several times per year and organise National Star Recruitment Open Days 2-3 times per year, including advertising to publicise these events and use of social media, working alongside our communications team.

 

About you

You will have previous experience in a recruitment post, designing and delivering effective and cost effective recruitment campaigns. You will be proactive and creative in your approach, have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong working relationships both inside and outside the organisation. You will work well as part of the team and have good organisational and planning skills. A good working knowledge of relevant employment law is essential.

 

Training

When you start, you will attend selected sessions within a 1-2 week induction programme. These will cover topics specific to working in an organisation like National Star and will give you a chance to get to know new starters on the Care and Education side, as well. This is mandatory for everyone who joins us so that we are able to maintain our standards of care and support, and is run by our in house training team who have been awarded the Princess Royal Training Award.

 

Contract Details

This role is Part Time (exact requirement is flexible, but it must be a minimum of 3 days) to cover a period of maternity leave, including a substantial handover period. It will be necessary to be flexible on working patterns to meet changing business needs at different times of the year. There may be the occasional need for travel to other National Star sites.
