National Star in Wales are seeking to appoint an aspiring, motivated and inspirational Tutor or Trainee Tutor to deliver high quality programmes for young people with complex disabilities, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), including ASD and ABI. The successful candidate will have experience in delivering innovative and person centred sessions to young people in a specialist setting. They will also have an understanding of post-16 curriculum in a specialist setting, possessing excellent communication skills and be working towards a relevant teaching qualification. The successful applicant will have sound knowledge of Section 140 and be able to contribute towards learners outcomes. Teaching and recording of progress will meet required professional standards and ensure high quality provision for young people with complex and profound learning difficulties. The Tutor/Trainee Tutor will be self-motivated and an excellent member of a multi-disciplinary team, working around and for the learners. As a tutor of National Star you will model excellent practice and be an innovative problem solver, with a flexible working approach in a busy and demanding role and setting, with the ability to confidently build positive relationships with students, colleagues and stakeholders.
