The role 

We have exciting job coaching opportunities to work across Work Outcomes programmes; one maternity cover and one permanent role. Successful candidates will join our experienced team of teachers, job mentors and support staff in developing learners’ work related knowledge, understanding and skills. Work Outcomes programmes include Supported Internships, Traineeships, General Work and Adult Employability programmes. You will be required to deliver work-based workshops and will work with learners to assess skills and aspirations related to employment to ensure that the work placements you broker support progression and that the voluntary or paid transition outcomes you secure are sustainable and meet the needs of individuals.

You will ideally have experience of working with people who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities and may be already working as a Job Coach or similar training role in a variety of working environments such as an education environment and/or care environment. The ability to network and liaise effectively with employer partners is essential.

This is a Maternity Cover role working 33 hours per week during term time (42 weeks) some of which requires flexibility and negotiation within the team to ensure that learner support is continued outside of term time.
