This exciting role has been established as part of the development of Learning Support across Learning Programmes and wider college teams.

In this role you will develop expertise across our subject areas and use this knowledge to contribute to the training and development of learning support staff in order to maximise the quality and outcomes of both learning and teaching across college.

You will work with the Programme Managers/Co-ordinators to ensure the consistent delivery of high quality specialist learning support that enhances the learning process. This will include developing and setting up, monitoring and maintaining up-to-date learner support strategies within the area of your responsibility to facilitate individuals or groups of students to fully access and participate in sessions.

You will ideally have experience of supporting the learning of young people or people with disabilities and/or learning difficulties and some experience of delivering specific support to others i.e. mentoring, training or guidance roles.

Training and development is something that is done well at National Star and in this role we will support you through internal and external training to gain the relevant learning support qualifications to help you build your career with us.

We are currently recruiting for permanent staff as well as for maternity cover – please state your preference in your application.
