Join National Star as a night nurse and use your skills and knowledge to keep residents and students with disabilities safe and well so they can live their lives to the full.
You’ll be there to support young adults with disabilities to manage their long-term health conditions so they can do the things they want to do in life. Working alongside support staff you’ll help them manage their medication, promoting independence while using your nursing skills to make sure they can lead the lives they choose. It goes without saying that you will be on hand to deliver day-to-day and emergency nursing care as required.
You’ll be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team supporting students and residents. Colleagues will look to you for advice and guidance on health-related matters. Keeping records and health-related documentation up-to-date will be a key part of your role as will be liaising with other external healthcare professionals involved in the care of students and residents.
You are expected to stay awake, alert and active throughout your 12 hour night shifts (8pm – 8am) so that you can respond to staff requests for nursing support or emergency care
When not supporting staff, students and residents we expect you to use your initiative and manage own workload during the night ensuring all time is spent carrying out meaningful tasks.

How we will reward you
This is a part time role working 30 hours a week over 52 weeks a year.
The salary for these hours will be £29,959 - £32,267 (£36,950 -£39,796 FTE) (+10% for hours worked at weekends)
