We’re expanding our HR team at National Star and are looking to recruit a dynamic, results-driven HR Manager to oversee the running of the HR office, including managing a small team of committed HR administrators.

 

We’ll be looking to you to provide a customer focussed, effective and comprehensive HR administration service for all managers and staff, developing effective internal working relationships across the organisation and working with other professionals to deliver an effective, holistic service.

 

You will lead the efficient and effective management of the key HR transactional processes across the whole organisation whilst managing and overseeing the work of the HR administration team. With more than 1,000 staff and ambitious plans for growth, you and your team will be critical in ensuring the pre-employment screening and other recruitment on-boarding administration is carried out efficiently and effectively. You will oversee the production of all contractual changes, the review of employee benefits, and Occupational Health assessments. You will also work closely with the Recruitment and Payroll Managers to ensure they have timely and accurate information to get their job done.

 

Bringing to us your working knowledge of HR software systems and databases you will oversee the day to day work of key systems administrators and super users of the HR database, quality checking inputs, building and amending work flows and reports to maximise the potential of the system, supporting the further development and implementation of the system within the organisation.

 

We are always striving for continuous improvement at National Star and therefore will expect you to be constantly exploring ways in which our HR procedures can be streamlined and improved. This will include continually evaluating, reviewing and improving all internal HR administration procedures to ensure that they are in compliance with agreed policy and processes throughout the organisation, that they are business focussed, and that they are fully documented and communicated by appropriate means to all relevant users.

 

It’s likely that you will have worked for a complex organisation in the past, be CIPD qualified and have in depth administration experience in a HR environment. It goes without saying that you will be a strong communicator with first class people management skills, who will act as a role model for other members of your team. As a problem-solver, you will be able to think creatively and put forward ideas using your influencing skills to implement change.  This role will involve you building strong working relationships with your team and other National Star managers so they know you are there to support them where necessary.
