Site Services Manager

We’re looking for someone to take the helm and manage National Star’s busy Site Services team on a day-to-day basis. Reporting to National Star’s National Lead for Estates and Facilities, we’re looking for a people person with strong staff management skills who can motivate and inspire a diverse range of more than 50 staff to give their all at work.

The Site Services team already takes pride in a job well done and you will build upon this customer-focussed approach when you manage the team. Not only will you be working closely with your own staff you will also be expected to build strong working relationships with other colleagues throughout the organisation.

We’re a modern, highly structured charity, that takes staff management seriously, and it is likely that you will come from an organisation that has a similar, forward-thinking philosophy to people management.

Our site services team includes trade specialists including electricians, maintenance teams and grounds people. We’d like you to have a working knowledge of one of specialisms but as most of your time will be spent managing the team your ability to coach and develop staff is crucial.

You will also help us to manage our relationships with a wide range of contractors, ensuring pre-selection checks, permits to work, site induction, safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed. Overseeing our planned maintenance schedule will be a key aspect of your job as will managing the on-call process.

As a sustainable organisation we will be looking to you to follow and promote our environmental policy, ensuring effective energy saving measures and waste management strategies are employed.

A natural problem-solver, you will be proactive and strategic, understanding the difference your team makes to the efficient running of the charity.

We are an inclusive organisation, therefore you will also support and facilitate opportunities for learning and personal development and employment for people with disabilities within site services.

If you are looking for a role that will build upon your existing people management skills and give you scope to expand your areas of responsibility, apply today!
