PART TIME  Programme Lead for Lift Training in Derbyshire


Permanent contract, 24 hours per week, Term time (39 weeks). Contract is due September 2023

This is an exciting time to join the award-winning LIFT Programme. In partnership with Derbyshire County Council and other service providers you will provide independent travel training to vulnerable young people who have learning difficulties or physical disabilities, to enable them to use public transport for journeys to school or college.

You will join a strong programme and after induction training will be capable of delivering structured 1:1 support. You will have good organisational skills and enjoy working in a community setting across Derbyshire. The team are based in Derbyshire but due to Corona Virus restrictions most work is currently being undertaken at or from home. You will be confident working independently in the community, an excellent communicator with a dynamic and innovative approach. You will be the holder of a full driving licence. You may have or be working towards teaching qualifications, if not Lift Training will support the gaining of such qualifications. This role may attract applicants from a variety of backgrounds such as teaching, learner support, project managers, newly qualified graduates, care workers, former Police Officers, youth workers, mentors. These roles will require travel and flexible start and finish times. The Head of Lift Training will supervise the Programme Leader role. To contribute to the development of new initiatives as appropriate with the Head of Lift Training
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of suitable accreditation for travel training programmes.
