Job Details:

National Star has ambitious plans for growth and, as a result, needs to expand its fundraising team so that we can raise money for new building projects and specialist equipment and facilities.

We’re looking for a creative, confident person who has the potential to become our new regional  fundraiser. You are likely to be a natural salesperson, brimming with ideas for how to engage with local communities and businesses for the benefit of the charity.

This is Hereford-based role, with potential to work at home, initially focussing on building our supporter base in Herefordshire.

As a result, you will need to be a self-starter who can use your own initiative as you manage your diary to build local connections, having the flexibility to work evenings and weekends. You’ll be confident with networking and speaking to groups as you utilise your customer service and sales skills to encourage community groups, individuals, schools and businesses to fundraise on our behalf.

You will also understand the need for stewardship, making donors feel valued and keeping them informed about how the money they raise will be utilised and appreciated by the charity.

You will be out and about in the community for a large part of your working week so access to your own transport is required (travel expenses will be reimbursed).

You will be part of the larger three-person fundraising team and will travel to our head office in Gloucestershire on a regular basis too.

To be successful in the role it is likely that you will also recruit, train and manage a team of willing fundraising volunteers who will eventually be as passionate as you are about raising money to enable young people with disabilities to achieve their aspirations.

Motivated to help us raise awareness and vital income for one of the UK’s leading disability. charities? Apply today
