At National Star, we realise the aspirations of young adults living with complex physical and learning disabilities. The young people we support are currently looking for a Residential/Registered Manager to join our long-term living accommodation at Ledbury Road, Hereford.

Ledbury Road is a well-run residential provision for seven young adults with disabilities. The provision was recently named as a finalist in the Care Home of the Year category in the Herefordshire Health and Care Awards, having been nominated by a parent of one of the residents.

As manager you’ll:

Be an inspirational leader and role model, supported by a deputy and senior team.
Support your team of committed care and support workers to always deliver exceptional care
Provide a high quality, homely living environment for residents with physical disabilities and learning difficulties - They all have big personalities and even bigger ambitions to live life as independently as possible!
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team seeking to continuously improve quality.
Establish positive relationships with the parents and carers of the residents in your care as well as external professionals, including healthcare professionals and social workers.
Manage staff and your own training and continuous development, whilst ensuring all needs are met by way of ensuring each day has the right experience and skill mix of staff.
Maintain accurate records to comply with National Star’s internal quality assurance policies and CQC requirements

You should have excellent communication skills and be able to multi-task. Your people management skills will be exemplary, and you will have the motivation to develop your team within each of their roles, coupled with the determination to empower young people with disabilities.

We’d expect you to have or work towards a Level 5 qualification in leadership in health and social care, and after successful probation take on the CQC registration of Ledbury Road,.
