This is an exciting time to join the award-winning LIFT Programme. In partnership with East Sussex County Council and other service providers, you will provide independent travel training to vulnerable young people who have learning difficulties or physical disabilities, to enable them to use public transport for journeys to school or college. You will join a strong programme and, after induction training, will be capable of delivering structured 1:1 support. You will have good organisational skills and enjoy working in a community setting across East Sussex. You will be confident working independently in the community, an excellent communicator with a dynamic and innovative approach. You will be the holder of a full driving licence. You may have or be working towards teaching qualifications, if not Lift Training will support the gaining of such qualifications. This role may attract applicants from a variety of backgrounds such as teaching, learner support, newly qualified graduates, care workers, former Police Officers or youth workers. This role will require travel and flexible start and finish times. This role will be supervised by the Programme Leader who will identify the caseload of young people.
