INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY - based at Ullenwood
To apply for this role you will need to have experience within the Occupational Therapy Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to progress your career and gain some valuable work experience in occupational therapy, seeing for yourself how your interventions can help students to develop new skills for life. You will help a senior Occupational Therapist to assess and then provide therapy for students with a variety of physical and/or learning disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
You will take part in formal learning sessions working with tutors and learners to ensure occupational therapy approaches are used to develop growing independence. Part of your role will be to assess learning environments to ensure they are safe for students and provide the maximum opportunity for them to learn and develop. You’ll get the opportunity to become confident in using various items of adapted equipment too. So that we can understand the progress being made by students you will be expected to maintain individual therapy notes and electronic records of work.
